SFI/TRI Course

Entry Requirements

  • CPL or ATPL (A) license with a valid type rating (TRI only)

The TRI A320, SFI A320, TRI B737 or SFI B737 courses are aimed at anyone who is willing to pass his/her knowledge and experience to next generation of pilots on these Types.

The TRI license can be issued with full or restircted privileges (limited to instruction within a simulator or LIFUS | unrestriction with base training – circuit training on real Aircraft available at extra cost).

Upon completion of the TRI/SFI course, Scandinavian Training Academy may offer you the opportunity, to join our instructors team on a freelance basis.

  • Relevant changes to national and/or European Union regulations
  • The role of the instructor
  • Teaching and learning styles
  • Instructional techniques
  • Briefing and debriefing skills
  • Threat and error management
  • Human performance and limitation
  • Flight safety, incident and accident prevention including those specific to STA
  • Significant changes in the content of the relevant part of the aviation system
  • Legal aspects and enforcement procedures
  • Developments in competency-based instruction
  • Report writing
  • Any additional topics suggested by competent authorities

SFI/TRI Refresher Seminar

Entry Requirements

  • CPL or ATPL (A) license with a valid type rating (TRI only)
  • TRI and/or SFI (A) certificate (valid and expiring within the next 12 months or expired)

The refresher training seminar is a major element of the revalidation and renewal requirements for instructor certificates. The refresher seminar is intended to refresh and increase knowledge, as well as to maintain the previously acquired abilities, in order to remain qualified and competent to execute the duties of a SFI or TRI.
